From Michael Dillon:
The week after Julie's walk in November we found out she has colon cancer.
She went through 2 forms of different forms chemotherapy at the same time, in addition to daily radiation treatments.
We have had a lot of prayer support from other friends and from the congregation I serve.
Julie (my wife) will be having surgery on March 13 to remove the tumor and to check if cancer is anywhere else in her lymph system.
Grace and Peace

From Dave Beamer, Walk #3:
Margie, our daughter, came home from her job at Cooksbery at Fishers and told us about a retired pastor, Ivan Jenkins, who went to the airport to pick up his daughter last night. He left her to get her bags and told her to meet him at the curb. He went to get his car and never showed up at the curb to pick her up. He is from the South Indiana conference. His family is very concerned.
Thank you for your prayers.

From Amber Hiss, Flight 48:
Please pray for my mom and our family. My mom, Margie Hiss, has been struggling with
cancer for several years. It started out as thyroid cancer and has spread to her lungs, her
eye (Dec '07), and we found out last week that it is now in her bones.
She is in an experimental study for the tumors in her lungs which has slowed the growth.
She will continue with the study because the cancer grows so fast that she wouldn't survive
6 months without the experimental drugs. The cancer in the bones is in her femur, upper
arm, and between her eyes behind her nose.
Our family is losing hope and doesn't know how long my mom will be with us.
My older sister is planning on getting married in October and is scared our mom won't
make it until then. Please pray for hope, courage, and time. Thanks.

From Kari VanDerWeele:
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers right now.
I really appreciate all the e-mails showing your love and concerns.
Dad made a total turn around and it looks like everything GI wise is going well.
All three Docs were in and gave the go ahead for surgery Tues. at 7am.
God is definitely good and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
I know my family and I both appreciate and are very grateful for all of the
love and support from our family and friends. I'll keep you all updated.

From Jill Beam:
From a former Butterfly for prayers regarding the serious medical concerns of her father, Jon VanDerWeele of Argos.
The request is from Kari VanDerWeele (she is now married, but her married name escapes me at the moment!)
Jon was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital last Friday with chest pain and very high blood pressure.
A heart cath revealed 1 fully blocked artery & 4 nearly blocked, and heart surgery was scheduled for Monday, Feb 11.
However, Jon had some serious GI complications over the weekend
and the heart surgery has now been put on hold until his intestines can heal.
Kari's mom, Darleen VanDerWeele, is also an Emmaus alum.
