From the
North or East: Highway 9 or Highway 24
Highway
9 or Highway 24: Take the 9 - 24 bypass around Huntington. Go
past the stoplight at Jefferson
Street (Bob Evans on the left and Pizza Hut on the right). Turn
left at the next light which is Flaxmill Road. Go to the 1st 4-way
stop sign and turn right. The Good Shepherd Retreat Center entrance
is the 1st drive on the right.
From the West:
Highway 24 East from Wabash
Turn left (north) at the stoplight
at the intersection
of 9 and 24. Turn right at the 1st stop which is Flaxmill Road.
Go to the 1st 4-way stop sign, and turn right. The Good Shepherd
Retreat Center is the 1st driveway on the right.
From the South:
Coming North on I-69
Take Exit 78 to Huntington. Turn left
onto State Road 5. Huntington is about 12 miles. Stay on State
Road
5 through Huntington. (It curves around downtown because of
the one-way street; first it's Jefferson Street, then Warren,
then
Park Drove, then back to Jefferson.) Continue North on Jefferson.
At the first stoplight after you have left downtown turn left
(Walgreens and CVS corner). Turn or angle right at the stop
sign (Flaxmill
Road). At the next 4-way stop sign turn left onto Hitzfield
Street. Good Shepherd Retreat Center is on the right.
From the South:
Coming North on State Road 9
When you get to Huntington stay
on State
Road 9. It joins US 24 at the Wabash River. There is a stoplight
at that junction. At the next stoplight turn right onto Flaxmill
Road. Just past Schenkel Dairy you will see the Good Shepherd
Retreat Center on the right. Turn right onto Hitzfield Street
(4-way stop
sign). Turn right into the center.
